About COVID-19

COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease caused by a newly discovered novel coronavirus (CoV) SARS-CoV-2, also known as 2019-nCoV.

To prevent and manage the spread of COVID-19 throughout your organisation, you must have an accurate testing system in place. The Healgen COVID-19 rapid antigen test detects CoV-2-SARS fast, making it easy to identify infected individuals, especially those at risk of complications. Plus, it’s easy to store as you can safely keep it in the fridge or at room temperature (between 2-30°C).

Each Healgen COVID-19 antigen test kit contains:
• 1 test cassette
• 1 sterile swab
• 1 extraction tube with buffer and tip
• 1 package insert

The Healgen COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test uses a simple nasal swab. It’s easy to administer as follows:

1. Insert the swab 2-4cm into one nostril until resistance is met.
2. Roll the swab 5 times along the mucosa inside the nostril. Using the same swab, repeat this process for the other nostril.
3. Withdraw the swab from the nasal cavity.
4. Insert the test extraction tube into the hole on the kit as marked.
5. Gently tear off the sealing film on the extraction tube to avoid spilling the liquid.
6. Insert the swab into the extraction tube that contains 0.3ml of the extraction buffer. Roll the swab at least 6 times while pressing the head against the bottom and sides of the extraction tube.
7. Leave the swab in the extraction tube for 1 minute. Squeeze the tube several times to thoroughly immerse the swab. Remove the swab.
8. Insert the dropper tip into the extraction tube, making sure it is tight and secure.
9. Add 4 drops of the extracted solution into the S well of the lateral flow device. Wait for coloured bands to appear. Read the result at 15 minutes. Do not read after 20 minutes.
