HeartStart HS1 Defibrillator from Phillips is an AED used to treat a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). It does this by delivering an electric shock to the heart in order to restore a normal heartbeat. This AED delivers the shock quickly and effectively and can be used in any location or situation to save a life. Sudden cardiac arrest is among one of the leading causes for global mortality and the HeartStart HS1 Defibrillator can be used to prevent this.

Weighing just 1.5kg, the HeartStart HS1 Defibrillator is lightweight and portable. This allows it to be easily carried to a victim’s side and used in a variety of different locations such as an office, public building or on a plane. This AED provides real-time guidance with step-by-step voice commands for use which can also instruct you on CPR. Integrated SMART Pads placed on the victim’s bare skin transmit information to the defibrillator, which senses and adapts to your actions every step of the way.

The HeartStart AED conducts a series of automatic self-tests on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. These work to check pad readiness, calibration of circuits and systems and verify functionality.
